The entire Angel City FC fanbase breathed a sigh of relief when Sarah Gorden re-signed with the team last week. The veteran center back played in every single minute of the 2023 NWSL season, a feat made even more impressive considering she was coming off a season-ending ACL injury prior to the 2022 campaign.
There were several free agents on the Angel City roster going into the offseason, but none were bigger than Gorden. Now back with the club for 2024, she will figure to be yet again the anchor of the ACFC back line.
