Cousin Feo, Lord Juco, and DJ Dubplates have been at the forefront of the football and hip-hop intersection, and for the first time, they sit down to discuss how they uniquely combine the world’s two most recognizable platforms, building an international audience, and pushing physical media in a nearly exclusively digital world.
We’ve been rocking with the Death at the Derby team for a while now. Since their first project dropped in 2019, we’ve loved their ’90s era sound combined with their deep cut footy references and appreciation for heated rivalries.
Now with a handful of projects under their belts, Cousin Feo, Lord Juco, and DJ Dubplates are working on another full length album “Capitano,” which features tracks dedicated to some of the most iconic footballers to don a captain’s band.
We sit down with the talented trio to discuss flying under the radar, building an international fan base, and being able to work with the LA Galaxy on various projects.
