Our Freestyler’s Playlist features a personal music set from different freestylers from around the world. Freestyling goes hand-in-hand with music, and these athletes know how to appreciate the power of a good beat. Check out the jams to get your workout jumpstarted.
While the U.S. may not yet be a hotbed nation for freestyle, the sport is growing thanks to a close-knit community of supportive and competitive athletes. We caught up with Massachusetts-based freestyler Torin Lynch who placed in the Top 10 in the U.S. and shared the jams that get her motivated for a training sesh. “I start my trainings with stretching which I find very important for freestylers as you are moving muscles that normally are not worked. Then, I begin to do basic tricks, working up to harder ones and combos. I prefer creative freestyle but I try to improve lowers as well,” she shared.
“Freestyle has been a great part of my life so far, I have met many great people and done some great things already. The community is very supportive of each other which makes it a very welcoming, fun group to be a part of.”
