From where her signature sleeves-up look comes from to her proposition of taking the NWSL public, Angel City FC forward Tyler Lussi dishes it all on the latest edition of the Urban Pitch Podcast.
If one thing is clear after watching Tyler Lussi play, it’s that her motor refuses to stop. Whether pushing forward in the attack or tracking back on defense, Lussi has a bottomless sprint stamina and doesn’t take any plays off.
She’s played a significant role within Angel City FC so far, starting in the club’s first two matches and scoring a goal in the NWSL Challenge Cup as well. Along with fellow forwards Christen Press, Simone Charley, and Jun Endo, Lussi figures to be in the mix of a dangerous attacking front throughout the rest of the season.
A Princeton graduate, Lussi has a self-described “intense” side to her, but she’s able to switch that off and mellow out when she needs to. We got a little bit of both from Lussi in our latest podcast episode, in which she joins the washed-up crew to discuss her time with Angel City FC so far, her signature sleeves-up look, and her pitch for a fan-owned NWSL.
