Bringing you the highlights from the latest soundtrack of the iconic video game franchise.
Another fall season means another FIFA — er, I mean — EA FC soundtrack is upon us.
The iconic soccer video game is still going strong. The 2026 edition promises to be new and improved, taking notes directly from fans, including more natural movement from goalkeepers, more responsive dribbling, and two game modes for quicker action or a more realistic match. There will be archetypes based on legends of the beautiful game for you to model your own player after and build off their skillsets, and you can play in even more iconic stadiums, including Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena, Napoli’s Stadio Diego Armando Maradona and Inter Miami’s Chase Stadium for you Messi (or MLS) lovers.
But we’re here to talk about the music. The EA FC 26 soundtrack is in line with what we’ve come to expect and love from the video game franchise. At 96 songs with more than five hours of music, there’s something for everyone — except for maybe country purists.
There’s indie rock, rap, and lots of feel-good dance music. There’s a balance of mega stars along with bands you’ve never heard of. The EA FC soundtrack has become a favorite music discovery platform for fans across the world.
And this year, there’s a very special first that shows how football and music are colliding now more than ever.
Let’s dive into it…
The Major Stars Make Sense
As usual, there are a few of the absolute top artists in the world on the EA FC 26 soundtrack. Putting these artists on here makes sense to draw listeners in with some familiarity. And these artists are so big because they do make decent music…for the most part.
Ed Sheeran’s “Symmetry” from his new album Play is on here. It’s an upbeat track about wanting to spend time with a girl for the night bolstered by some cool drums. Nothing super special and exciting, but it’s Ed Sheeran, so it’s catchy and musically very tasteful.
Then we have “Gone” by HAIM, which has a bit of a folksy feel and samples George Michaels. JENNIE’s “like JENNIE” is mechanical and animalistic. It will definitely get you hyped. PinkPantheress is here with “Girl Like Me.” It’s a fun song, but not nearly as infectious as “Illegal,” which is all over TikTok right now.
It’s neat to see Rudimental’s “London Burning,” which features everyone’s favorite multi-hyphenate Idris Elba. And then there’s a dance remix of The Cure’s “And Nothing Is Forever” by Cosmodelica. This track embodies what the EA FC soundtracks are meant to do: bring the tradition of the beautiful game into the modern era with a universal appeal.
Last year, the big artists felt a big forced in place of the hidden gems that we know and love the soundtrack for. This time around, the stars feel more organic, which we are grateful for.
MORN and Graft are the Hidden Gems To Discover
The curators of the EA FC 26 soundtrack did their homework. Besides tossing in the big music stars, they introduce us to some artists we didn’t know before. In the past, that’s what’s made the soundtrack so special and that continues here.
MORN is the first artist that stood out to us with their dynamic song “Modern Man.” It’s racing and then it’s mournful and then it’s aggressive. MORN only has 7,665 monthly Spotify listeners and 2,699 Instagram followers when we last checked. We are sure these numbers will grow quickly as more people learn about them. Fun fact: the members of the band are two sets of siblings!
Graft is the other artist that we were happy to discover. At the time of publication, he has 15,276 monthly listeners on Spotify and 40,000 Instagram followers. The British MC won the MOBO Unsung Award in 2018 and won the reality competition “The Rap Game UK” in 2020. But we hadn’t heard of him and his rock-infused “Headliner” that weaves in the fierceness of grime definitely perked our ears up.
The Return of Indie Rock
Something that was lacking in last year’s EA FC soundtrack was those feel-good indie rock tracks. But we were happy that there is a decent amount of that in the 2026 tracklist.
Standouts include “We Can Pretend” by Baby Universe, “Back On You” by Djo, “y3llow bike” by hard life, and “Risk It All” by Mergui. “Dumb Feeling” by Mei Semones is maybe not quite “indie rock,” but it’s a whole vibe. It feels like it’s being performed outside of a café on a sunny day in France.
British rocker Master Peace is on here with the snappy “There’s No More Underground.” He was actually on AJ Tracey’s “Red Wine,” which closes out the British rapper’s Don’t Die Before You’re Dead album. In an interview, Tracey said that he was excited to dabble in indie rock and thought the song was “proper FIFA music.” Well, the curators didn’t quite agree, but having Master Peace on here shows that Tracey was headed in the right direction.
Just the Right Amount of Rap on EA FC 26 Soundtrack
It’s no secret that rap is losing its foothold as the top genre across the world. According to Hip Hop All Day, a music report social media account, there were only four hip-hop songs on the Global Spotify chart in mid-September, the lowest amount ever. In 2020, there were 56 rap tracks on the chart.
The reasons behind this could be a whole other article that we’re not here to discuss right now. Real ones know hip-hop is still alive and well despite the streaming numbers being down. We were happy to see that there was still plenty of hip-hop on the EA FC 26 soundtrack even if every other song wasn’t #Bars.
We loved that Skepta held it down with not one, but two features. He’s on Sammy Virji’s “Cops & Robbers” and Fred again..’s “Victory Lap.” Check out the whole EP that Skepta and Fred again.. did together. It’s immaculate. The reflective “21 Years” is especially powerful.
Skepta even gets a shoutout from another artist on the soundtrack. On “Stay In Your Lane,” Taiki Nulight references Big Smoke’s Más Tiempo house DJ outfit.
There’s also an appearance from another British rap great, Little Simz. The looming, genre-bending “Flood” featuring Obongjayar off her vulnerable Lotus makes an appearance. And Obongjayar has his own song on the soundtrack, “Not Surrendered” and, while it’s not rap, it’s funky fresh.
Young Miko has a fun song, “WASSUP” that opens with a sample of Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” and then has an Atlanta crunk feel. If Young Miko’s name isn’t ringing a bell, she was on Central Cee’s “GATA” from his Can’t Rush Greatness album, and was also spotted at the Nike Toma El Juego finals in Los Angeles over the summer.
Other standout rap tracks are the mechanical “Slumber” by DNMO and Confz and “Festas e Manequins” by Ebony. Then there’s some boom-bap goodness with “Colours in My Mind” by Kofi Stone, who makes his return to the soundtrack.
An EA FC First: Footballer Moise Kean aka KMB Has a Song on the Soundtrack
It’s nothing new that footballers make music. Memphis Depay has entire rap albums and Sergio Ramos released his debut song, “CIBELES,” late this summer. It’s actually pretty good!
But Moise Kean has the honor of being the first soccer player to have a song featured on the FIFA *excuse me* EA FC soundtrack. The Fiorentina forward raps under the name KMB and his song “BOMBAY” is fierce. He has a smooth flow over the dynamic production that features a looming bass and a gentle piano before jumping into a trap moment. It would fit right in on a Migos album.
EA Sports promoted the song with a cool video showing Keane switching from studio mode to game mode. The tagline is “Don’t Choose.” Do both!
An Abundance of Dance Songs
Dance music continues to thrive globally and serve as a great soundtrack for the beautiful game. There is no shortage of dance cuts on the EA FC 26 Soundtrack and we enjoyed every one.
One standout is “Sisters” by Sofia Kourtesis. The DJ hails from Peru but calls Berlin her home. It’s fantastic how she blends the cultures together with Spanish lyrics and a smooth house beat.
Another track that we really enjoyed was “Take Me Home” by Bearcubs. The beat has an extraterrestrial synth and is mesmerizing. The crooning hook really pulls on the heartstrings.
Other dance songs that keep the vibes high are “Generation Love” by AR/CO, “lajo” by Catching Flies, “Bang Bang” by Friction, “LAST CHANCE” by Mild Minds, “Our Home” by Myd, “Your Love – Antdot Remix” by PLS&TY, “Beat Keep Rockin’” by Starjunk 95, and “DEAD” by Sudan Archives.
As mentioned in the rap section, EDM stars Fred again.. and Sammy Virji also have excellent songs on there featuring Skepta.
The EA FC 26 Soundtrack Embraces Languages in a Global Celebration
Along with embracing dance music, the EA FC 26 soundtrack highlights songs in many different languages to showcase the global nature of the beautiful game.
There’s lots of Spanish on here, including from Sofia Kourtesis on “Sisters,” Spanish star Rels B’s “Uyuni,” CA7RIEL on “IMPOSTOR,” Faul & Wad’s “Flores Blancas,” Kinky’s “Sonido de la Casa,” and reezy’s “SABÍA QUE NO.”
Brazil is represented by Ebony’s mechanical track “Festas e Manequins” and Papatinho’s Miami-infused “Passe a Respeitar.” Both songs are in Portuguese.
“Parallel” is an upbeat song by Liza, who performs this song in Japanese, but also has songs in Russain too.
The hypnotic “BENZ” by sheng is in Chinese, and she weaves French into her music as well. The song is from her album, J’SUIS PAS CELLE 非你所想, which translates to “I’m not the one” in French and Chinese.
“Ki Kori” is by Mumzy Stranger, who takes pride in weaving his Bengali culture into his music. It’s the first time a Bengla song has been on the EA FC soundtrack.
West African artist Falle Nioke has his song “Heaviness” on here in his native language of Coniagui. He speaks eight languages!
EA Sports says it took notes from fans when making the latest edition of the game. It seems like they took feedback on the soundtrack too because this one feels right.
